Creating opportunities for St Helens youth!
The Caterpillar Club in St Helens were awarded £18,576 by People’s Health Trust using money raised by Health Lottery North West.
This two-year project aims to deliver a range of social activities for young people aged 14-21 with additional needs and their family members. The project responds to the lack of opportunities for these young people’s social development and will enable them to have fun, resulting in improving their social lives and life skills. Siblings will also benefit as they will be able to socialise with other young carers. Sessions will take place at least once a week and will include activities such as pizza-making, archery, canoeing, trampolining, dance/exercise, autism-friendly theatre trips and a short residential activity once a year.
