That’s because HealthDesire CIC makes sure money raised through The Health Lottery goes where it's needed most in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall. It’s funding projects at the heart of our community.
Where does funding go in our area?
Since 2011, more than £1.5 million raised by HealthDesire CIC has been awarded to local charities in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.
Money raised through The Health Lottery has supported local branches of important charities like Youth Sport Trust, The Conservation Volunteers and Sustrans.
It’s also giving funding to local initiatives which wouldn’t otherwise exist. These are projects which run cooking clubs, support the parents of children with disabilities and provide fulltime carers for people with Alzheimer’s.
Causes money raised by HealthDesire CIC has supported include:
- £43,870 to deliver weekly football and dance sessions for young people at Centre Spot CIC
- £25,534 for outdoor activities with Wildside Activity Centre
- £48,699 for sewing sessions and a lunch club with AFSS
