Charity projects say “Thank you, Health Lottery players!”

Over 3,000 local community projects have been supported by funds raised through The Health Lottery since 2011.  We knew from the outset how important it was to help unite communities, and reduce health inequalities across Great Britain.

But we never expected, less than a decade after we launched, that Great Britain and the world would be facing the biggest public health crisis for 100 years.

Many of the local projects have needed to adapt as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.  The dedicated leaders of those community projects have ensured their projects stay up and running, using technology and innovative thinking.  They’ve ensured that their communities (often among the most vulnerable to the virus) remain connected and supported.

Every time you play any of The Health Lottery’s games, you continue to support the work of these mental and physical health-related charities and their projects.

All of us here at The Health Lottery thank you for your continued support.  But don’t take our word for it.  Various projects you’ve supported have come together this week to record their own “thank you” messages – and you can watch them here!

We’ll keep running our charity lottery games throughout this pandemic, so that local community projects continue to get the support they need to support the most vulnerable.  Remember: when you play, you help.
