So far, more than £1.6 million has been raised by HealthShape CIC through The Health Lottery to support charities and projects in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
HealthShape CIC has helped support local branches of national charities, like The Conversation Volunteers.
The money raised by HealthShape CIC through The Health Lottery also supports local initiatives that bring people together to improve lives through community-led projects. These are run by people in your neighbourhood, and the projects receive funding so they can continue developing gardens, teaching vital life skills and helping older people get out and about.
Causes money raised by HealthShape CIC has supported include:
- £18,080 to use music to promote recovery and wellbeing with Med3 Music
- £5,000 for an art group run for people with dementia and their carers with Meon Valley Carers Group
- £9,318 to run cookery sessions for parents and carers with The Organic Cookery School
