Health Lottery Scotland
We have raised over £11.8 million to support vital localised causes across the nation of Scotland. Health Lottery Scotland was formed from former CICs HealthEngage, HealthGift, HealthKind, HealthShine and HealthShow. The first draw will take place on 1 January 2019.
Caledonia Health CIC is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 29820.
So far, funding raised through The Health Lottery in Scotland has gone towards helping disabled people, children’s centres, women’s cafes and other important community initiatives in Scottish counties. Activities run by these organisations are as varied as rambling sessions, creating community gardens, cookery training and local community computer lessons for older people. Some of these organisations are:
- £36,810 to Broxburn United Sports Club, who bring older people together for social and sporting activities in West Lothian
- £21,790 to Elemental Community Arts, who run an after-school arts club for young people in Forres, in Moray
- £15,555 to Skye Circus Skills, who bring people living in Skye and Lochalsh together to learn aerial circus and trapeze skills
