Grimsby’s George Nicholls wins £25,000! - The Health Lottery
George Nicholls, 49, has won our 1st February jackpot! Grimsby resident George receives £25,000 – a big surprise to him, as he originally thought he’d “only got four main numbers and the bonus number!” Check your tickets with a fine-tooth comb, everybody…
George was recently made redundant from his job, and is disabled with mobility issues. “I haven’t kept too well recently, so this will really help me get through the next few months,” he told us. “To start with, I am planning on getting a new sofa and chair. But I also want to make a donation to a couple of charities.” George will give part of his winnings to Children with Cancer, and to Scope – as he wants to continue making others smile.
For George, supporting The Health Lottery seems to be a no-brainer! “It supports so many great causes – why wouldn’t you?” he says. “I am still in shock, but I can’t tell you how happy I am.”
Martin Ellice, Joint Managing Director at The Health Lottery, said: “We are delighted that such a kind, generous man has won our jackpot. Though George is disabled himself and was lately made redundant, he still wants to donate part of his winnings to charity. What a wonderful gesture – we offer George our warmest congratulations.”
During February 2019, The Health Lottery will be raising funds to support local good causes and projects across the West Midlands.
