More than £11 million has been raised by Northern Health Equality CIC operating in Health Lottery Yorkshire & Humber.

Health Lottery Yorkshire & Humber is a trading name of Northern Health Equality CIC, licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 26322.

Money raised through The Health Lottery in Yorkshire has been granted to causes supporting older people, homeless people and those with dementia – among others. In terms of community causes, funding has also underpinned sport, creative, educational and community club initiatives in the region. Below are some examples of these:

  • £19,196 to Special Stars Foundation in Hull, who provide sensory play activities for children and young people with learning difficulties, as well as a platform for their family members to socialise
  • £20,334 to Out of Character, who support people with mental health needs in York to write, rehearse and perform their own theatre productions that demonstrate the challenges they face
  • £23,298 to East Thirsk Community Association, who bring parents, babies and toddlers together to build their social connections and their confidence at a safe community hub in Thirsk, Yorkshire
