The Health Lottery scheme manages 12 society lotteries that operate in rotation and each represents a different geographical region of Great Britain.
These exist to help tackle health inequalities in their respective areas.
People’s Health Trust (PHT) is an independent charity that assesses grant applications based on pre-determined criteria and award funding across the 12 regions.

25.5% of every lottery ticket, QuickWin game and online scratch card purchased is donated to good causes.
For the main lottery game 25.5% of each £1 ticket sold is returned to good causes. 26.0% is spent on prizes.
48.5% is spent expenses (actual expenses exceed this figure).
Our average annual proceeds from the lottery is £22.2m.
The odds of winning the jackpot is (1 in 2.1M) and the odds of winning any prize is (1 in 9.7).
The winning numbers are selected using an approved lottery ball machine except in exceptional circumstances when an approved
random number generator (RNG) may be used. The winning numbers on the QuickWin game are determined by an RNG.
