Your Health Lottery online account

How do I register for a Health Lottery online account?

Click the Sign up link, visible at the top of every page  www.healthlottery.co.uk, then just follow the instructions.

To open your online account you need to have a GB bank account and a GB address. Once you’ve successfully registered your account you’ll be able to play online, save your numbers and set up a direct debit so you never miss a draw.

I’ve forgotten my account username and/or password. What do I do?

Your username is always the email address you used to sign up for your Health Lottery account.

If you can’t remember your password click the Forgotten your password? link on the Sign In screen, enter your email address, and we’ll send you a secure link so you can set a new password.

How do I change my debit card details?

Log in to your Health Lottery account, and go the Your Account section. Click on Manage your debit card and you’ll be able to add the new details. 

You can only change these details online if your debit card has expired. If you want to change your card details for any other reason please call The Health Lottery helpline on 0844 375 55 55*.

How do I change my address online?

Sign in to your Health Lottery account and go to the Your Account section. Select  My Detailsand update the form with your new address.

How do I transfer or remove funds?

Sign in to your Health Lottery account and go to the Your account section. Select Withdraw funds and follow the instructions. For security, you’ll need to enter your password. The withdrawal will be processed to your debit card.

How long after I withdraw from my online account does it take to transfer funds into my bank account?

It can take up to 14 working days for the money to be credited to your bank account, although we do submit the transaction straight away.

Can I view my ticket details if I play online?

Yes. After you buy your ticket online you should receive an email confirming your chosen numbers and the local society lotteries taking part in the draws you’ve entered.

Can I cancel a ticket I bought online?

No. Once you buy your ticket you can’t cancel it, so it’s important to check all the details before you commit to the final click.

Changes to our game

We have made  some exciting changes to our game to give players more chances to win one of our fantastic prizes.

Tickets containing entries into any draw from 31st July 2018 are automatically entered into our monthly Mega Raffle draw to win a fantastic cash prize of £250,000, in addition to the chance of winning our top prize for matching 5 balls which is guaranteed minimum of £25,000 per draw.

We have also introduced additional prize tiers to offer our players even more chances to win; these are Match 1 plus the bonus or 2 balls to win a free ticket. This is addition to a guaranteed 10k prize for matching 4 plus the bonus, £250 for matching 4 balls, £50 for 3 plus bonus, £10 for matching 3 balls and £5 for matching 2 plus bonus.

The price will remain at £1 per line and the odds of winning a prize have increased from 1 in 108 to 1 in 9.7

What was the prize structure prior to 29th July 2018?

For all weekly lottery draws that have taken place prior to 29th July 2018, the prize structure was as follows:

How does the Mega Raffle work?

The raffle will be drawn on the 1st of every month.

Every line purchased for the draws to take place from 31st July will automatically be entered; the first draw will take place on 1st September; the next draw will take place on 1st October with all tickets purchased in September being entered and so on for the upcoming months.

Your unique raffle number will be shown on the ticket along with the raffle you will be entered into.

Online and direct debit players will receive an e-mail confirmation detailing the entries they have made and the Mega Raffle code associated with these.

**Please ensure you keep your retail tickets and email confirmations safe even if the draw you entered has already taken place as you will need this to check if you are our lucky Mega Raffle winner!**

 

How will this work if I have one ticket that contains entries for draws due to take place in different months?

The relevant number of entries will be placed; for example if you have a ticket with entries for two draws in August and one in September you will get two entries into the September raffle and one into October. This information will be displayed on your ticket or email confirmation if you play online or by direct debit.

 

Will I get one reference number for every line I purchase?

Tickets purchased containing entries into draws to take place after 31st July 2018 will contain a raffle code. This is how the raffle works:

One ticket, many lines

If you buy multiple lines on one ticket, say five lines, you will get one raffle code that will be entered into the relevant Mega Raffle pot five times, meaning you have five chances to win with one code. It also means you only have to check one code.

 

Many tickets, one line

If you buy five single tickets for the same draw you will get five individual raffle codes. The codes will be entered into the relevant Mega Raffle pot just once each. You will have to check all five codes against the winning code.

 

One line for many weeks

If you buy one line on a ticket draw which you want to play up to three weeks in advance you will get one raffle code which will be entered into the relevant Mega Raffle pot raffle multiple times. You will then check the same raffle code to see if you have won – it makes it easier for you.

 

One ticket, many lines for many weeks

If you buy multiple lines, for multiple weeks, let’s say you put on 5 lines for 4 weeks in advance; you will still only have one raffle code printed on your ticket. That code will be entered into the relevant Mega Raffle pot raffle multiple times. You will then have to check only one raffle code to see if you have won.

 

How will this work if I have one ticket that contains entries for draws due to take place in different months?

The raffle code shown on the ticket will be entered into the relevant Mega Raffle pot and the number of entries will be placed; for example if you have a ticket with entries for two draws in August and one in September you will get two entries into the September raffle and one into October using the same code. This information will be displayed on your ticket.  Please keep your ticket safe until all draws and raffles entered have been completed.

 

Where can I check the raffle results?

The winning raffle code will be published to the ‘Results’ section on our website at www.healthlottery.co.uk, to our Twitter and Facebook feeds and will also be printed in the Star, Express, Sun and Mirror newspapers.

How does free ticket work?

A free Quick Pick entry will be awarded when either 1 plus bonus or 2 balls are matched giving you a free entry into the next draw and an extra chance to win again; in addition to this the free ticket also generates an entry into the next  Mega Raffle draw for an extra chance to win £250,000.

 

How do I claim my free ticket?

If you play online or by direct debit a ticket containing a Quick Pick entry for the next draw will automatically be placed and will be visible in the Transaction history as ‘Win Free Ticket’.

The free ticket will be entered into the next Mega Raffle draw and winners will be sent an e-mail confirming the Mega Raffle code associated with the free entry.

 

If you played at any of our participating retailers and have won up to £50 and up to 9 free tickets the prize and ticket can be claimed at any of them by taking the winning ticket back to any participating store. Your free Quick Pick entry will be for the next available draw after you have claimed the prize.

Can I choose the numbers and draw to be entered if I win a free ticket?

The system will automatically generate a Quick Pick entry for the next scheduled draw and there is no cash alternative.

 

Is the 25k jackpot guaranteed for every winner matching 5 balls?

The prize of 25k is guaranteed for every draw; in the event of more than one player matching 5 balls in the same draw the amount is divided equally between the number of winners.

 

Why have you decided to make these changes?

We listen to our players and their likes and dislikes and are always looking to innovate and bring the best prizes to our players on behalf of the Community Interest Companies as well as continuing to help their society lotteries raise money for health related good causes.

I can see a ‘Bonus Balance’ when I log in to my account; what is this?

The Health Lottery offer a range of promotions designed to reward our players; these are credited to your account under the ‘Bonus Balance’ section. Bonuses can be used to purchase additional draw entries on our site. Please note that some bonuses can only be spent on specific games or during specific time periods. Please review the T&Cs for the specific bonus offer to learn more about the conditions relevant to it.

How to activate a promo code?

To activate your code simply log into your account and enter the code in the box marked ‘Add Promo Code’ and click the Add button.Make your eligible plays in accordance with the T&Cs of the offer you received and the bonus award will be added to your bonus balance.

How to play using a bonus?

Using the bonus is simple! Simply log in to your account, select your numbers, draw days and number of weeks. Then click ‘Play Now’.

A confirmation screen will appear; click on the bonus field in this screen before clicking ‘Confirm’ and select the bonus you want to use from the drop down menu.

After you have selected the bonus you wish to use click ‘Confirm’

If you have insufficient bonus funds to pay for the ticket, the system will ask you to enter your Debit Card Security Code to deposit the rest, click ‘Confirm’ to complete the entry.

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you to detailing the entries you made.

Why have the promotions changed from cash credits to bonus?

The Health Lottery is making a number of exciting changes and this is one of them! The introduction of bonus awards will enable us to offer our players a range of promotions with more flexibility. For you, the player this means you can enter our games using the bonus awards.

When were players notified of this change?

Information regarding the introduction of our new bonus award programme has been available on our web-site since 8th October 2016.

How do I get a promotion code?

We regularly send out information regarding special promotions and promotion codes; please ensure your marketing preference is set to ‘Yes’ to receive these e-mails.

If you are already subscribed to marketing, details of any promotions and associated promotion codes will be sent by e-mail; please check your spam files if you haven’t received these.

Can I convert Bonuses to cash?      

No. Bonuses can only be used to purchase lottery entries or other products on our site, as specified in the T&Cs for each bonus promotion. However, any winnings generated from tickets bought with bonus money are yours to spend or withdraw as you please.

Why is there an expiry date associated with my bonus?

Some Health Lottery promotions are time sensitive and therefore the bonuses awarded in these promotions may be time sensitive as well. Such bonuses will have an expiry date associated with them; this is the last date/time you will be able to use them in order to purchase lottery entries.

Details of the expiry date or draws the bonus can be used to purchase entries for can be found in the T&Cs shown on the e-mail containing details of the offer you received.

How long after completing the promotion conditions does it take for bonus to appear in my Bonus Balance?

Once you have completed the terms of the promotion, we will credit your account automatically and immediately. In some cases it might take the system a couple of minutes to update your balance. In these cases, please allow up to five minutes for the balance to be updated and refresh the page.

Can I use a bonus award to qualify for a different bonus?

This is not possible; to qualify for offers you must spend the amount specified on the e-mail you received to qualify

Can I use the Bonuses to play Instant Win games and/or Health Bingo?

This will depend on the promotion we are running at that time; there may be promotions where the bonus can be redeemed for entries into our Instant Win games. Please check the T&Cs of the specific promotion to be sure.

I have made entries using my bonus but cannot identify them in my transaction information; how can I check how many I have used?

Simply log into your account and select the View Transactions option shown approximately half way down the page and search for all transactions. Here you will see a table detailing your entries; those that show a zero amount in the amount column were bonus award entries. Entries made using cash that you have deposited to your account show as -£

In the event that this column shows a balance of less than £1 or more than £1 this indicates that a part bonus award, part cash payment transaction has taken place. For example if the amount is -£2.25, this would mean a cash payment for this amount has been taken along with the equivalent of 75p in bonus awards to make a £3 entry.

Do the CIC’s receive the same contribution when I play with a bonus as they would if I played with cash?

Yes, the CIC’s receive the same contribution to the equivalent cash amount played.

I want to close my account but have some bonuses left in the wallet; can I claim these back as cash?

Bonuses can only be spent on lottery products on The Health Lottery site and cannot be converted into cash. The winnings generated from these lottery entries, however, will be given out as cash, which you will be able to withdraw. If you would like to close your account before spending your bonuses, your bonus balance will be lost.

I received an e-mail advising me to play but haven’t received the bonus?

The award of bonuses is dependent on meeting the criteria associated with the promotion you have been offered; please check the notification e-mail to ensure all criteria has been met. All time sensitive bonuses are clearly described as such in the T&Cs of those bonuses at the moment of entry. As such, if the expiry date for a particular bonus has passed, it will not be reactivated. You can either buy your ticket online or over the counter at a Health Lottery retailer.

To buy online you’ll first need to open a Health Lottery account.

To buy over the counter, just visit your nearest Health Lottery retailer. Use our retailer search to find out which of the 32,000 shops selling tickets for The Health Lottery is nearest you.

How do I buy a ticket online?

You will need to open a Health Lottery online account. Then just choose your game and your draws, it’s really easy!

Can I play if I’m outside Great Britain?

To open an online account you do need to have a GB bank account and a GB address. You also need to be physically located in Great Britain when you purchase a play or set up a Direct Debit. That’s part of the Game rules - 5.2 iii (c).

Where can I check the draw results?

How will I know if I’ve won a prize?

If you have played online we’ll send you an email asking you to sign in and check your account. When you do, select the Your Account history section, where you’ll find details of any winning tickets you’ve bought online.

If you’ve purchased a ticket from a Health Lottery retailer you can check if you’ve won by checking the results online at www.healthlottery.co.uk or in Daily Star, Express, Sun or Mirror newspapers, or by taking  your ticket to a Health Lottery retailer and ask them to check it for you .Results are also published to our Facebook page and Twitter feed

How can I claim my winnings?

Online Players:

Playing the £1 game

Our £1 game has prizes from a free ticket for matching any two numbers, a guaranteed £10,000 for matching 4 balls plus the bonus ball and a minimum jackpot of £25,000* for matching 5 numbers.

In addition, every £1 line purchased automatically enters you into a monthly Mega Raffle draw to win a fantastic cash prize of £250,000! The Mega Raffle draw takes place on the 1st of each month.

To play the game, 5 numbers between 1 and 50 are selected.  You can either chose your own lucky numbers, or use Quick Pick to have the numbers selected for you by our Random Number Generator.

Our draw machine will select 5 numbers and a bonus ball at random - the more numbers you match the more you win. You can see the prizes available below.

Q: Can I place forward play entries to future QuickWin games?

A: Entries to the maximum play limit specific to your account can be placed for the next draw to take place; it is not possible to pre-purchase entries into draws beyond this. Tickets will be valid only for the next available Draw as shown on screen.  For the avoidance of doubt a Player may not pay for forward play beyond the next available Draw

Q: Where can I watch the draws?

A: The next draw will be visible to you on-screen when you place your entry; it is not possible to view draws that have previously taken place

Q: Is the draw live?

A: The Random Number Generator selects the numbers live every three minutes. The on screen visual of the machine drawing the numbers is generated based on the numbers which have been selected using this software at the draw time however the graphics and ball selection used to display the results are pre-recorded.  The system will recognise the winning numbers as soon as they have been selected and the outcome is displayed immediately which is why you may see the outcome of your entry whilst the on-screen draw video is still playing.

Q: Can I check the Quick Win draw results for previous games?

A: Though we keep a record of every draw and its results, it is not possible to check online the results for draws that have passed, however the results for any entries you have placed can be found in your transaction history when logged into your account.

Q: Can I use my Health Lottery bonus award to play the QuickWin game?

A: The bonus can be used to purchase entries into the main game but is not accepted as payment for entries in the QuickWin game

Is The Health Lottery in any way related to the National Lottery?

I have received a letter claiming that I’ve won a prize on The Health Lottery – is this a scam?


For the avoidance of doubt The Health Lottery will never send letters to inform customers that they have won a prize.  We are aware that attempts have been made to defraud members of the public by this means.  Anyone who receives a letter claiming to be from The Health Lottery and stating that they are a Health Lottery winner, should not attempt to contact the phone number or use any of the contact details supplied in the letter.  If you have already contacted the number and provided any personal details or have become a victim of fraud, you should immediately contact Action Fraud UK by calling 0300 123 2040.

What is a Playcard?

You can use a Playcard to play the £1 Health Lottery game at participating retail locations.

There are 2 types of Playcard:

 

Blue: This is for the £1 game, it stores your numbers so you just have to give it to the person serving you in the retailer and they can swipe it to buy your ticket really quickly. The card can store up to 10 lines of chosen numbers.

The blue Playcard can also be registered online for our reward scheme which offers exclusive online offers and bonuses on future Health Lottery purchases made online and in store.

Red: The red Playcard is also for the £1 game and can be used if you don’t want to pick your own numbers, the retailer can scan the barcode to produce a Quick Pick ticket for one line in the next available draw. If you want more than one line or more than one draw just tell the retailer and they’ll give you the ticket you want.

 

How do I store my numbers on my blue Playcard?

You add your numbers when you activate your Playcard. There’s a few easy ways to do this.

How do I qualify for Playcard rewards?’

Simply register the Playcard online at www.healthlottery.co.uk to receive exclusive online offers and bonuses on future Health Lottery purchases made online and in store.

Register your card between 15th August – 26th September and your online bonus wallet will automatically be credited with a £5 bonus token.

Can I register a new card in the event of loss or damage to the card I already have?
Yes, however when a replacement card is added, any accrued bonus credit held against the original card will be lost therefore we recommend you keep the card in a safe place. If a player deactivates their Playcard, all stored lottery numbers, accrued credit and purchase history associated with the Playcard will be removed and cannot be restored.

How do I receive bonus awards and special offers?

Information regarding special offers will be e-mailed to you; these may require you to make a specified amount of entries using your Playcard within a defined period to qualify for the offer.

Once eligible entries have been completed you may receive a bonus award to your online wallet to enable you to make online entries or you could receive a coupon to redeem at retail. This will depend on the current offer.

How much is it to play?

Our Instant Win Games are all priced £1.

Do I need an online account to play these games?

Yes you do. It’s very simple to sign up and usually takes less than a minute. Just click “Register” at the top of this page, tell us a bit about yourself and add your debit card details. Then all you need to do is choose the game you want to play, click “play now” and enter your security code. There is no need to top up your account in advance and there is no minimum deposit limit. 

Can I try Instant Win Games first?

Absolutely! There is a “try me” version of each game available for you to play. We need to make sure that we don’t let people under 16 play any of our games, even the “free” versions, so we’ll just need you to log in to your account before you can play them.

How do the good causes benefit from these games?

It’s just the same as with our draw game; 20p in every £1 played is donated directly to health-related good causes.

What prizes can I win?

That depends on what game you’re playing, one game may have a higher top prize than another, but the other game may have a better chance of winning the lower prizes. Around 70p in every pound played goes to prizes. You can click on a game to see the prizes available and odds for each prize.

What happens if I win a prize?

Firstly congratulations! We’re guessing that the first thing you’ll do depends on how much you’ve won, anything from a little smile to a full-on happy-dance. While you’re doing that we’ll pay your winnings straight in to your wallet.
If you win one of the £10,000 prizes (that’s a happy-dance one by the way) we’ll need to check your identity before you can withdraw the prize. It’s a compliance thing, but we’ll be in touch to talk to you about it, it’s not difficult.

Can I see a history of my plays?

Yes, when you’re logged in click on “Your Account”, and then “My Games History”.
