Your Health Lottery online account

How do I register for a Health Lottery online account?

Click the Sign up link, visible at the top of every page  www.healthlottery.co.uk, then just follow the instructions.

To open your online account you need to have a GB bank account and a GB address. Once you’ve successfully registered your account you’ll be able to play online, save your numbers and set up a direct debit so you never miss a draw.

I’ve forgotten my account username and/or password. What do I do?

Your username is always the email address you used to sign up for your Health Lottery account.

If you can’t remember your password click the Forgotten your password? link on the Sign In screen, enter your email address, and we’ll send you a secure link so you can set a new password.

How do I change my debit card details?

Log in to your Health Lottery account, and go the Your Account section. Click on Manage your debit card and you’ll be able to add the new details. 

You can only change these details online if your debit card has expired. If you want to change your card details for any other reason please call The Health Lottery helpline on 0844 375 55 55.

How do I change my address online?

Sign in to your Health Lottery account and go to the Your Account section. Select  My Detailsand update the form with your new address.

How do I transfer or remove funds?

Sign in to your Health Lottery account and go to the Your account section. Select Withdraw funds and follow the instructions. For security, you’ll need to enter your password. The withdrawal will be processed to your debit card.

How long after I withdraw from my online account does it take to transfer funds into my bank account?

It can take up to 14 working days for the money to be credited to your bank account, although we do submit the transaction straight away.

Can I view my ticket details if I play online?

Yes. After you buy your ticket online you should receive an email confirming your chosen numbers and the local society lotteries taking part in the draws you’ve entered.

Can I cancel a ticket I bought online?

No. Once you buy your ticket you can’t cancel it, so it’s important to check all the details before you commit to the final click.

Bonus Balance & Promo Codes

I can see a ‘Bonus Balance’ when I log in to my account; what is this?

The Health Lottery offer a range of promotions designed to reward our players; these are credited to your account under the ‘Bonus Balance’ section. Bonuses can be used to purchase additional draw entries on our site. Please note that some bonuses can only be spent on specific games or during specific time periods. Please review the T&Cs for the specific bonus offer to learn more about the conditions relevant to it.

How to activate a promo code?

Simply log in to your account and on either the ‘Home’ page or on the ‘Play’ page, select the numbers you want to play, the draws you would like to enter, the number of weeks you wish to play.

 

Type the promo code you wish to activate in the promo code box and click ‘Add’ to activate your bonus. Click ‘Play Now’ and finish the purchase.

How to play using a bonus?

Using the bonus is simple! Simply log in to your account, select your numbers, draw days and number of weeks. Then click ‘Play Now’.

A confirmation screen will appear; click on the bonus field in this screen before clicking ‘Confirm’ and select the bonus you want to use from the drop down menu.

After you have selected the bonus you wish to use click ‘Confirm’

If you have insufficient bonus funds to pay for the ticket, the system will ask you to enter your Debit Card Security Code to deposit the rest, click ‘Confirm’ to complete the entry.

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you to detailing the entries you made.

Why have the promotions changed from cash credits to bonus?

The Health Lottery is making a number of exciting changes and this is one of them! The introduction of bonus awards will enable us to offer our players a range of promotions with more flexibility. For you, the player this means you can enter our games using the bonus awards.

When were players notified of this change?

Information regarding the introduction of our new bonus award programme has been available on our web-site since 8th October.

Can I convert Bonuses to cash?      

No. Bonuses can only be used to purchase lottery entries or other products on our site, as specified in the T&Cs for each bonus promotion. However, any winnings generated from tickets bought with bonus money are yours to spend or withdraw as you please.

Why is there an expiry date associated with my bonus?

Some Health Lottery promotions are time sensitive and therefore the bonuses awarded in these promotions may be time sensitive as well. Such bonuses will have an expiry date associated with them; this is the last date/time you will be able to use them in order to purchase lottery entries.

How long after completing the promotion conditions does it take for bonus to appear in my Bonus Balance?

Once you have completed the terms of the promotion, we will credit your account automatically and immediately. In some cases it might take the system a couple of minutes to update your balance. In these cases, please allow up to five minutes for the balance to be updated and refresh the page.

Can I use the Bonuses to play Instant Win games and/or Health Bingo?

This will depend on the promotion we are running at that time; there may be promotions where the bonus can be redeemed for entries into our Instant Win games. Please check the T&Cs of the specific promotion to be sure.

I have made entries using my bonus but cannot identify them in my transaction information; how can I check how many I have used?

Simply log into your account and select the View Transactions option shown approximately half way down the page and search for all transactions. Here you will see a table detailing your entries; those that show a zero in the amount in the amount column were bonus award entries. Entries made using cash that you have deposited to your account show as -£

In the event that this column shows a balance of less than £1 or more than £1 this indicates that a part bonus award, part cash payment transaction has taken place. For example if the amount is -£2.25, this would mean a cash payment for this amount has been taken along with the equivalent of 75p in bonus awards to make a £3 entry.

Do the CIC’s receive the same contribution when I play with a bonus as they would if I played with cash?

Yes, the CIC’s receive the same contribution to the equivalent cash amount played.

I want to close my account but have some bonuses left in the wallet; can I claim these back as cash?

Bonuses can only be spent on lottery products on The Health Lottery site and cannot be converted into cash. The winnings generated from these lottery entries, however, will be given out as cash, which you will be able to withdraw. If you would like to close your account before spending your bonuses, your bonus balance will be lost.

I received an e-mail advising me to play but haven’t received the bonus?

The award of bonuses is dependent on meeting the criteria associated with the promotion you have been offered; please check the notification e-mail to ensure all criteria has been met. In the event that you have met the criteria and still haven’t received your bonus, please contact our Customer Service team on 0844-375 55 55 or by e-mail at help@healthlottery.co.uk

I have been on holiday/unable to access my account and the bonus in my wallet has expired; can it be reactivated?

All time sensitive bonuses are clearly described as such in the T&Cs of those bonuses at the moment of entry. As such, if the expiry date for a particular bonus has passed, it will not be reactivated. However, if you feel that your case requires special attention, please contact our Customer Service team on 0844-375 55 55 or by e-mail at help@healthlottery.co.uk

How do I get a promotion code?

We regularly send out information regarding special promotions and promotion codes; please ensure your marketing preference is set to ‘Yes’ to receive these e-mails.

Playing the Health Lottery

What Games can I play?

The Health Lottery has 1 draw-based game. This is a £1 game in which players can either select their own lucky numbers or play using the Quick Pick option. We also have Instant Win games available on our website. The links below will take you to information about these games

Where can I buy a ticket? 

You can either buy your ticket online or over the counter at a Health Lottery retailer.

To buy online you’ll first need to open a Health Lottery account.

To buy over the counter, just visit your nearest Health Lottery retailer. Use our retailer search to find out which of the 32,000 shops selling tickets for The Health Lottery is nearest you.

How do I buy a ticket online?

You will need to open a Health Lottery online account. Then just choose your game and your draws, it’s really easy!

Can I play if I’m outside Great Britain?

To open an online account you do need to have a GB bank account and a GB address. You also need to be physically located in Great Britain when you purchase a play or set up a Direct Debit. That’s part of the Game rules - 5.2 iii (c).

Where can I check the draw results?

Tune in to the TV draws for the Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday games are shown on C5 during the 21:55 ad break and check your numbers as the balls are drawn.

Results for all of our draws, including our Thursday game can be found on YouTube and are also published in the Daily Star, Express, Sun and Mirror newspapers and also on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Results can also be obtained from any participating retailer or just call us on 0844-375 55 55*

How will I know if I’ve won a prize?

If you have played online we’ll send you an email asking you to sign in and check your account. When you do, select the Your Account history section, where you’ll find details of any winning tickets you’ve bought online.

If you’ve purchased a ticket from a Health Lottery retailer you can check if you’ve won by checking the results online or in the newspapers, watching the TV draw,  or by taking  your ticket to a Health Lottery retailer and ask them to check it for you.

How can I claim my winnings?

Online Players:
If you’ve played online and won less than £2,000 your prize will be paid directly into your online player account, funds can be withdrawn at any time please allow 14 working days for funds to reach your bank account.
If you have won £2,000 or more please call the Health Lottery Helpline on 0844 375 55 55*, where our team are on hand to support you. They will help you with arrangements to collect your prize and anything else you need to know.

Playing the £1 game

Our £1 game has prizes from £10 up to a whopping £100,000!*
To play the game 5 numbers between 1 and 50 are selected.

There are two ways to play, either select your own numbers, or use Quick Pick to have the numbers selected for you by our Random Number Generator.

During the draw show our draw machine will select 5 numbers and a bonus ball, the more numbers you match the more you win. You can see the prizes available below.

By law, the top prize can never exceed 10% of proceeds (total tickets sales for any given draw). How the Health Lottery Works

Is The Health Lottery in any way related to the National Lottery?

No, the health lottery is not a national lottery. The Health Lottery is a totally independent lottery scheme. We’re in no way affiliated to The National Lottery.

How does the Health Lottery work?

Each week one or more different society lotteries take part in the lottery draws. They then donate money raised through their lottery to health related good causes within their respective communities, working with them to prioritise needs. Running things this way means every single part of Great Britain gets an appropriate share of the monies raised. No matter where you live, you will be able to see the society lotteries making a difference.

20p in every £1 goes to support local health related good causes.

Where does the money go?

The aim of the Health Lottery is to raise money for health related good causes across Great Britain.

Health Lottery money is available to local initiatives that help people to lead longer, healthier lives. The Health Lottery doesn’t fund services covered by existing NHS funding, and those causes that do benefit are chosen by local people in association with our partner charity the Peoples Health Trust.

The sorts of project that receive funding include support for older people to keep fit and help avoid vascular dementia, respite programmes giving young carers a much needed break, and community healthy-living initiatives, which help people reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and cancer.

Q: I buy my ticket from the local shop and do not have access to the internet; can I still get a voucher?

A: The promotion does require validation and registration online; you could ask a family member to do this on your behalf alternatively we do run offers specific to retail only players. Please check local press for details.

 

Q: I purchased a ticket containing multiple lines however when I entered the code and registered online I only received one voucher, is this correct?

A: Players will only receive one Promo Code per Health Lottery ticket transaction, and not one Promo Code per line of numbers chosen.  Therefore a ticket with more than one line of numbers will still only contain one Promo Code.

Q: Is this offer restricted to one per person?

A: No, not at all! Every transaction you make during the promotional period  (regardless of number of lines within that transaction) entitles you to claim one calendar.  There’s no limit to the number of calendars you can claim.

 

Q: Why is there a requirement to sign up using the internet?

Q: How do your raffle promotions work?

A: We offer a variety of different raffle promotions and prizes; in most cases, every line bought during the campaign period will qualify you for an entry to the raffle. The final and full terms required to qualify for each raffle can be found on the e-mail notification you received.

 

Q: Do I get an entry for every line I purchase during the promotional period?

A: In most of our raffles, you do; if you purchase 5 lines during the promotion you will be entered into the raffle draw 5 times. However, the exact T&Cs for each raffle can be found on the e-mail notification you received.

 

Q: Can I claim the raffle prize if I win the top prize with one of my eligible entries?

A: Yes! You are still eligible to enter and win the raffle prize.

 

Q: Will eligible entries made using a bonus award qualify for the raffle?

A: Yes, of course, as long as the entries are made in accordance with the T&Cs

 

Q: How are winners selected?

A: Winners are selected using our random numbers generator, which was approved by The UK Gambling Commission in the presence of an independent adjudicator.

 

Q: How will I know if I have won?

Playcards

What is a playcard?

You can use a playcard to play any of The Health Lottery games at participating retail locations.

There are 2 types of playcard:

Blue: This is for the £1 game, it stores your numbers so you just have to give it to the person serving you in the retailer and they can swipe it to buy your ticket really quickly.

Red: The red playcard is also for the £1 game and can be used if you don’t want to pick your own numbers, the retailer can scan the barcode to produce a Quick Pick ticket for one line in the next available draw. If you want more than one line or more than one draw just tell the retailer and they’ll give you the ticket you want.

How do I store my numbers on my blue playcard?

You add your numbers when you activate your playcard. There’s a few easy ways to do this. Your retailer can do it for you. You can ring the Health Lottery helpline on 0844 375 55 55. 

What happens if I lose my blue playcard?

You can just pick up a new one from your local Health Lottery retailer. Playcards don’t store any personal information and have no cash value. They’re just a convenient way of saving your favourite numbers.

What information is stored on my blue playcard?

Don’t worry. No personal information is stored on your playcard. Only your favourite numbers making it quick and easy to play The Health Lottery in store.

What is a Health Lottery syndicate?

A Health Lottery syndicate is when you team up with other Health Lottery players; these could be family, friends or colleagues, to increase your chances of winning.

Why set up a syndicate?

By playing The Health Lottery, you are already seven times more likely to win our top prize compared to Lotto, but you have an even better chance of winning if you buy more tickets as part of a syndicate.

How can I get started?

Our Instant Win Games are all priced £1.

Do I need an online account to play these games?

Yes you do. It’s very simple to sign up and usually takes less than a minute. Just click “Register” at the top of this page, tell us a bit about yourself and add your debit card details. Then all you need to do is choose the game you want to play, click “play now” and enter your security code. There is no need to top up your account in advance and there is no minimum deposit limit. 

Can I try Instant Win Games first?

Absolutely! There is a “try me” version of each game available for you to play. We need to make sure that we don’t let people under 16 play any of our games, even the “free” versions, so we’ll just need you to log in to your account before you can play them.

How do the good causes benefit from these games?

What prizes can I win?

What happens if I win a prize?

Firstly congratulations! We’re guessing that the first thing you’ll do depends on how much you’ve won, anything from a little smile to a full-on happy-dance. While you’re doing that we’ll pay your winnings straight in to your wallet.
If you win one of the £10,000 prizes (that’s a happy-dance one by the way) we’ll need to check your identity before you can withdraw the prize. It’s a compliance thing, but we’ll be in touch to talk to you about it, it’s not difficult.

How do I get the bonus?

When you buy a £1 Health Lottery ticket for any Saturday draw during June and fail to match all 5 lottery numbers, you’ll automatically be entered into a FREE raffle draw for a chance to win £25,000. That’s four raffle draws for £25,000 each up for grabs during June.

How the raffle works

One ticket, many lines

If you buy multiple lines for a Saturday draw on one ticket, say five lines, you will get one Hot ticket raffle code that will be entered into the raffle pot five times, meaning you have five chances to win with one code. It also means you only have to check one code.

Many tickets, one line

If you buy five single tickets for one Saturday draw you will get five individual hot ticket raffle codes. The codes will be entered into the raffle pot just once each. You will have to check all five hot ticket raffle codes against the winning codes.

One line for many weeks

If you buy one line on a ticket for a Saturday draw which you want to play with four weeks in advance (or more) you will get one hot ticket raffle code which will be entered into the draws you have paid for. You will then check the same hot ticket raffle code each week to see if you have won – it makes it easier for you.

One ticket, many lines for many weeks

If you buy multiple lines for the Saturday draw for multiple weeks, let’s say you put on 5 lines for 4 weeks in advance; you will still only have one hot ticket raffle code printed on your ticket. That code will be entered into the raffle pot 5 times on week 1, five times on week 2, five times on week 3 and five times on week 4. You will then have to check only one hot ticket raffle code each week to see if you have won.

Buying your ticket from a retailer

Each ticket containing an entry for any of the eligible Saturday draws during the month of June will contain a raffle code towards the bottom of the ticket and will be marked ‘Hot ticket raffle code’

Buying your ticket online or by direct debit

When you play online you will get one entry into the raffle per purchase if your entry includes lines for one of the eligible Saturday draws. So if you play five lines for one week your individual hot ticket  code will be entered into the draw once for every eligible Saturday line purchased.

 If you chose to play five lines for four weeks you will still only get one hot ticket raffle code, but that individual raffle code will be entered into the raffle for any of the eligible Saturdays.  For example if you have purchased 10 lines and 4 are for the eligible Saturdays in December, the code will be entered once for each of the relevant raffle draws.

January 2016 Direct Debit promotion

Q: How does the promotion work?

A: It’s easy!  Simply set up a direct debit at www.healthlottery.co.uk between 25th January and 14th March at 19:45 to receive 20% worth of your monthly DD spend in bonus tokens, sent directly to your online wallet.

The bonus tokens will be awarded to your account for the first 3 months of the subscription, subject to successful collection of funds. There is no minimum subscription amount and the bonus credit will be awarded for the first three months of the subscription, subject to the successful collection of funds.

Q: I already have a subscription; if I add a new one will this qualify for the bonus promotion?

A: Yes, of course. The new subscription will qualify for this offer and your first bonus credit will be awarded to the account after successful collection of the funds on 1st or 15th each month. The bonus award will be applied for the first 3 months, subject to successful monthly collection

Q: I set up a subscription when will I receive the bonus credit?

The bonus is awarded once per month and will credit your account after successful collection of your payment on either 1st or 15th of the month followed by draw entries being placed; this is why it takes a little longer for the tokens to reach your account. These will be awarded usually around 8th or 22nd of each month.

Q: If I set up more than one subscription will each one qualify for the bonus?

Spend £10 in-store & claim £5 Bonus Play online (January 2016)

Q: I purchased a £10 ticket for draws between 1st-31st January, how do I activate the code to receive the £5 bonus?

A: The code can be activated up to 30 days from the date of your initial purchase. Simply click here and enter the 15 digit code shown under the barcode on your ticket to confirm the ticket is valid for the promotion. To activate the bonus complete our simple registration process and the credit will be added to your bonus wallet. If you already have an online account simply login to your account, click on the ‘Bonus’ option (shown in the top right hand corner) and enter the code into the ’Enter Retail Ticket Code’ box to confirm eligibility and activate your bonus.

Q: I have a ticket containing 10 lines but this is not recognised as eligible for the promotion?

A; To qualify the ticket must contain entries into the draws to take place between 1st -31st January 2016. If the total of £10 consists of entries prior to, or after the start and end date the ticket is not valid. Q: I haven’t received the link to activate my account?

Q: I would like to take advantage of the £5 bonus offer but do not want to hear about future offers or receive e-mails from you

A: This is not a problem; simply select the N option to receiving marketing when you create the account

Q: Am I required to enter my debit card or bank details to get the bonus?

A: No, not at all, simply register, activate your account and the bonus will be available for use. The bonus must be used within 14 days

Q: How will I know when the 14 day bonus expiry date is?

A: It’s 14 days from the moment you entered the code. The expiry date is also shown next to the bonus in the “My bonuses” section in your account

Q: Does 20p of every of every bonus £1 spent go to the good causes as it would with a cash entry?

A: Yes, funds are allocated to good causes in exactly the same way as they would be with a cash entry, so the great thing here is that you benefit from the free play bonus and so do the good causes!

The Health Lottery is offering a fantastic Christmas raffle promotion during December.

When you buy a £1 Health Lottery ticket for any Saturday draw during December and fail to match all 5 lottery numbers, you’ll automatically be entered into a FREE raffle draw for a chance to win £25,000. That’s four raffle draws for £25,000 each up for grabs during December.

How the raffle works - Buying your ticket over the counter

One ticket, many lines

If you buy multiple lines for a Saturday draw on one ticket, say five lines, you will get one raffle code that will be entered into the raffle pot five times, meaning you have five chances to win with one code. It also means you only have to check one code.

Many tickets, one line

If you buy five single tickets for one Saturday draw you will get five individual raffle codes. The codes will be entered into the raffle pot just once each. You will have to check all five raffle codes against the winning codes.

One line for many weeks

If you buy one line on a ticket for a Saturday draw which you want to play with four weeks in advance (or more) you will get one raffle code which will be entered into the draws you have paid for. You will then check the same raffle code each week to see if you have won – it makes it easier for you.

One ticket, many lines for many weeks

If you buy multiple lines for the Saturday draw for multiple weeks, let’s say you put on 5 lines for 4 weeks in advance; you will still only have one raffle code printed on your ticket. That code will be entered into the raffle pot 5 times on week 1, five times on week 2, five times on week 3 and five times on week 4. You will then have to check only one raffle code each week to see if you have won.

Buying your ticket online or by direct debit

When you play online you will get one entry into the raffle per purchase. So if you play five lines for a Saturday draw for one week your individual raffle code will be entered into the draw five times, meaning you have five chances to win with that code.

If you chose to play five lines for a Saturday draw for four weeks you will still only get one code, but that individual raffle code will be entered five times for each of the four weeks.

The raffle number will be included in your e-mail confirmation when you place your entries.

And because we know you don’t want to spend all that time checking your raffle codes we do it for you, so you can sit back, relax and let us do the work. And when you win, we will contact you and let you know.

Q: Where can I check my raffle number?

A: The winning ticket numbers for the ‘Hot Ticket’ raffle will be listed online at www.healthlottery.co.uk, on our twitter feed @health_lottery and on our Facebook pagehttp://www.facebook.com/HealthLotteryResults#!/thehealthlottery. Results will also be printed in the Daily Star, Sunday Star, Express and Sunday Express. Q: How do I know that my raffle number will be entered for the amount of entries I have purchased?

A: An independent adjudicator witnesses that the raffle ticket draw is carried out in accordance with our internal procedures. We perform the draw using a Gambling Commission approved Random Number Generator

Q: I purchased my ticket with forward plays during the promotional period but it doesn’t show a raffle number, have I been entered?

A: The raffle number is shown at the top of your ticket and appears after the words ‘Ref’. This is the raffle code associated with your ticket.

Q: I purchased my ticket with forward plays and it doesn’t show when the promotion ended, I thought the raffle was ongoing?

A: We are sorry to hear that you were not aware that the raffle promotion was applicable for Saturday £1 Health Lottery draws in December only.

We did advertise the information across a number of publications and the promotional period was mentioned during our draw show. In addition we updated our website, Twitter and Facebook pages whilst ensuring the Terms and Conditions associated with this promotion were available to view and download.

All Health Lottery retailers received new promotional material to help raise awareness of this promotion and how it worked. The promotional message was not shown on your ticket due to the purchase taking place before the promotion started.

Direct Debit Promotion (Oct-Nov 2015) - Cash Raffle

Is this one draw for one prize of £3,000?

Yes, one lucky customer from the qualifying group will be randomly selected

When will the draw take place?

The winner will be selected on 4th January 2016

Will the winner be notified?

Yes, the winner will be contacted by us within one week of the draw taking place

How will the winner be selected?

The unique user name associated with each player will be entered into the draw and one will be randomly selected as a winner.

An independent adjudicator will witness that the draw is carried out in accordance with our internal procedures.

Will I receive a raffle entry for each new subscription I make?

No. One entry will be made into the raffle for every player who creates one new subscription. There are no additional entries if you set up more than one DD.

Will I receive 1 raffle entry per line purchased?

No. The raffle entry does not change based on how many lines you purchase.

Will I get a raffle number?

No. You will not receive a raffle number.

If I don’t get a raffle number how do I know for sure that I have been entered?

We will automatically create a list of customers who have created a successful DD subscription during the promotional period using our business systems.

Will I be entered into the draw even if I win the jackpot amount?

Yes! Jackpot winners will also be eligible for the cash raffle (subject to the sign up date being between 12th October – 28th November 2015)

Why have you changed the direct debit promotion from the free weeks play to a raffle?

We run different promotions at different times in order to keep our offer fresh to our customers.

I noticed the cash raffle promotion for new subscribers; I am a long term direct debit player. Why don’t you offer any promotions to your loyal players?

This promotion is for new customers only. We run many others for existing customers.
