Enter The Health Lottery and support charities in Shropshire and Staffordshire
You could win up to £100,000 with The Health Lottery – and help fund vital local services in our area.
That’s because HealthFair CIC raises money through The Health Lottery for where it's needed most in Shropshire and Staffordshire, delivering funding to projects at the heart of your local community.
Where does funding go in Shropshire and Staffordshire?
More than £1.5 million raised by HealthFair CIC through the Health Lottery has been given to charities and projects in Shropshire and Staffordshire. The money was awarded to these projects and charities as grants by the People’s Health Trust, a registered charity that works specifically with HealthFair.
Money raised through The Health Lottery has helped support local branches of important national charities such as the Royal Voluntary Service, Sustrans and Youth Sport Trust.
It’s also giving funding to local initiatives that bring people together to improve lives through community-led projects. These are run by people in your neighbourhood, and the projects receive funding so they can continue developing gardens, teaching vital life skills and helping older people get out and about.
Causes supported using money raised by HealthFair CIC include:
- £10,337 to run weekly exercise sessions for people with disabilities, their carers and volunteers who work with them at Blurton Community Centre
- £47,345 for a women’s hub in Stoke on Trent, offering creative arts and crafts sessions with Letting in the Light
- £38,000 to develop sessional activities for older people at Swan Bank
