Why have I been prevented from accessing instant win games?
Our Safer Gambling team monitor game play in order to protect players from possible gambling harms. If we have reason to suspect that a player is not in control of their gambling, we may temporarily suspend their ability to play instant win games until we have had the opportunity to discuss this with the player. Playing at unsocial hours; playing for a significant amount of time without a break; spend levels and reinvesting winnings without withdrawing money as just some of the warning triggers that may indicate an issue. Depending on the result of our interaction with a player, the ability to play all, or selected instant win games may be reinstated.

The winning numbers for each £1 Big Win lottery game draw are determined by using an approved random number generator (RNG) to complete lottery draws. The RNG is a digital programme which is able to select the five unique main lottery numbers and the bonus number between 1 and 50. When a Big Win lottery game draw is carried out using the RNG, the operation is also captured on video and audio for audit purposes. The Health Lottery RNG also meets the Gambling Commission’s required technical standards. The All Or Nothing draws are carried out in the same way.
The Health Lottery’s QuickWin game is a live lottery draw every three minutes. These draws are carried out in real time by our RNG which is programmed to run on a continuous cycle 24 hours per day, seven days every week of the year.

Where does the money go?
The aim of the Health Lottery is to raise money for health-related good causes across Great Britain.
The Health Lottery is committed to supporting the health and welfare of people throughout Great Britain, including children and young people and those with mental or physical disabilities. We operate on behalf of The Health Lottery Foundation which covers the whole of Great Britain, ensuring that funds raised through The Health Lottery are granted to the grassroots causes that need it most. These health and wellness charities deal with issues affecting a large proportion of the population, such as access to mental health treatment and support programmes. Lottery charity funding has long been a viable way for organisations to fund much-needed programmes.
20p of every £1 played goes towards health-related good causes across Great Britain.

Our Instant Win games vary in price from £0.10p to £5.00. The price for each game is clearly stated.
Do I need an online account to play these games?
Yes, you do. It’s very simple to sign up and usually takes less than a minute. Just click “Register” at the top of this page, tell us a bit about yourself and add your debit card details. Then all you need to do is choose the game you want to play, click “play now” and enter your security code. There is no need to top up your account in advance and there is no minimum deposit limit.
Can I try Instant Win / Scratch Games first?
Absolutely! There is a “try me” version of each game available for you to play. We need to make sure that we don’t let people under 18 play any of our games, even the “free” versions, so we’ll just need you to log in to your account before you can play them.

It’s just the same as with our draw game; 20.34p in every £1 played is donated directly to health-related good causes.

That depends on what game you’re playing, one game may have a higher top prize than another, but the other game may have a better chance of winning the lower prizes. You can click on a game to see the price, the prizes available and odds for each prize.
When you win a prize, we're guessing that the first thing you’ll do depends on how much you’ve won, anything from a little smile to a full-on happy dance. While you’re doing that, we’ll pay your winnings straight into your wallet.
If you win one of the £10,000 - £105,000 prizes we’ll need to check your identity before you can withdraw the prize. It’s a compliance thing, but we’ll be in touch to talk to you about it, it’s not difficult.
